This weekend I bought 15-20 old MT (labels still say Kadee) cars at an estate sale: $5 with the box, $2 without, some N scale buildings and tressels...and a bunch of Fn3 trains: Bachmann Shay and Heisler (I've wanted a heisler for so very long), flat cars, box cars, log cars. $600 for everything. Very happy me!

Let us know if you ever get that Decoder in... I've unfortunately had my ATSF just sitting in the yard this past year.

Kevin, there’s a gentleman here who is modeling the civil war in n scale, and he’s managed to squeeze a decoder into one of those. Should be worth a look.

Kato 10-199 TGV add on set (old orange train)
    Kato/Faller suburban train station
    Kato viaduct train station

Soon. Arrive a Tomix track cleaning car. And I think that’s it for this week.

I had to put a decoder into the Overton baggage car for this locomotive. I suppose you could dedicate a box car to follow right behind your tender and hide one in there.

Or you could modify the fuel load on the tender and stack it real full to hide a decoder like on this one.

These modules I’m building are starting to get outfitted nicely. Found 4 passenger cars for my old west module and a troop sleeper for my WWII airbase module today. Tuesday I found a few bombers and fighters. Can’t find the B-17 I want though.[IMG][IMG][IMG]

Daron Models... formerly Model Power Postage Stamp Planes... has several B17 Flying Fortress models in 1:155 scale AND B24 Liberators in 1:163 scale. Only problem is that they are 'in-flight' models on a stand without landing gear.

Noticed this and just HAD to post !!! The ONLY surviving B-17G was here in Joliet last month. Not sure why, maybe the NASCAR race, an airshow, maintenance layover, etc. I had seen it twice before at Miramar, CA airshows. I knew what it was by the sound and the silhouette as it flew over the neighborhood three times. It's a sound you just don't forget, especially at start-up !!! Being a USN aircraft mechanic for 8 yrs ('90-'98) makes me appreciate such things.

Bought some Micro-Mark 1/16 ship decking. It comes in 3x22 inch size. I used it for station decking.
