Hello everyone, The new Shapeways pricing model will go into effect on February 1st 2019. This means an increase in prices for all plastic items in my shop. Fortunately, I was able to modify the brass models to keep the prices the same as before. I reduced the amount of metal material being used per model to reduce the price. The plastic truck and fuel tank parts had no extra material I could shave off to reduce costs. Oh well, at least the shells and frames are the same. Expect a $2.50 increase for truck/fuel tank sets starting Feb 1st. Thanks, Rudy
Hi now my 2 MP Switcher are ready for work Last year I buy the shells and order in Japan some shorties. The "making of" was described here from other members, so I have no pics. The only diffrent is, I use everytime two Switchers. They are connected with wires and between an micro plug. To install this plug, I cut the frame unter the coupler hole, solders an brass wire and screwed it together. I used the decoders D&H05 and they run very smooth. The next will be the Leds. Here are some pics:
Hi last weekend I stay at the exibition in Bad Schwartau. There works the both switcher MP1114 and 1151 at the Flaggstone East Termninal. I make a short film about the operation Sorry for the "blue film" I forgot to change the white balance.
Hello Juergen, White balance? Whaaat? I thought this was a depiction of an early morning before dawn scene! That was a really nice touch with the photographer and the camera flash.
That is some beautiful modeling in every way. I have been following the development of the Flaggstone east Terminal for a long while. It's great to see some switchers on the layout. Great job, sir!
Thanks for creating these. I was looking for some ready-made decals to repurpose, but you've saved me that work.
Still looking for a chessie color scheme would work for me with the Cow & calf or A&B unit what ever people call it!
I have been looking into this design for a while. I was thinking about making the orange pin stripes into decals to assist the modeler. I'm not positive it will be opaque enough to cover the blue paint though. We will find out. Otherwise, the letters and numbers can be done easily enough. Also, it looks like B&O 9554 and B&O 9557 were calf units painted in the Chessie system scheme. I can make that available, too. Thanks!
Here is a photo Of the real Thing! the orange strip could be done with decal if the blue are was up higher so the strip would cover the yellow area!
Here is a sample of my DRGW decals. The rear of the cab is a bit tricky. I found that cutting the windows out first made the rest of the cutting easier.
