The Durango Silverton RailRoad has been officially declared At Fault, for the 416 Fire. https://durangoherald.com/articles/...HsOkCYvnIDye17c4WRZoO9j2Tr4gyBPsII6_i34pNXRXU Not sure what it’ll mean for the railroad.
I got a good laugh out of them. Seems most people understand the negative implications this could *potentially* have and would prefer to not see the RR get too damaged by this. Course then you always have a few morons who can't see past their own agenda.
The U.S. Federal Government's annual budget is $4.746 Trillion (October 1, 2019, to September 30, 2020). That equates to spending of $9 Million every minute of every day. So then U.S. Attorney Jason Dunn of the U.S. Attorney’s Office crafts a virtuous case to sue and destroy a small tourist railroad to recover $25 Million, or the equivalent of three minutes of Federal spending? Dunn's client is King Solomon and to ruin the railroad under the guise of justice is an illustration of misguided ambition and an embarrassment to his Office.
loss of the railroad will be devastating to the economy of the area. the railroad took steps to prevent fires they have been used safely for years. the steps they are taking now with oil firing and diesels for use during dry season is a good idea.
