I just can't quit on these. Here are 3 new projects that I will bring up to date as I think of it. 1st are two tankers. The blue one is a re-build of an earlier project. The red one is to be a 1970's era Texaco truck and trailer (semi). I have printed decals and am ready to pursue..................... The 2nd image is of a brand new idea. Here in El Paso we see many of these blades trucked out of Santa Teresa New Mexico to who knows where. The blades are actually made in Mexico, brought over to the states and loaded onto railcars and trucks for distribution............... Should be fun, stay tuned, Carl
Wow, I didn't know those blades are made in Mexico! More disappointment of the US's once dominant role in manufacturing. Sigh!
We have no one else to blame but ourselves for this. It was the MBA corps that did this, and none better for the demise of American manufacturing then Wharton!
Saw a bunch of those blade trucks while driving across south Texas a couple of summers ago. Really impressive to see that on the interstate so I bet that model of one is going to look great on a layout. Looking forward to seeing the finished product.
Just to help you get started, the trailer is available from N Scale Kits. http://www.nscalekits.co.uk/autocarrier.html And the tractor is available from Showcase Miniatures. https://www.showcaseminiatures.net/n_scale/n_scale_vehicles/27.html Carter
