    Hi all,

I have designed a mount that let's me change the truck position on my MTL 60' flatcars. The car requires body mounted couplers now that the trucks are too far from the end. The good thing is that Micro Trains marked where to drill and tap for the couplers. There is a pilot hole that makes coupler mounting pretty easy. The best part is that these mounts are non-destructive to the car. What do you guys think? I'm making these available on Shapeways for those interested in modding their own flat cars. go here

Between the correct truck placement, and the wood being painted, it's very nice!(y)

I used the Micro Trains drill and tap kit. Thankfully, MTL molded a hole into the flat car where the coupler needs to go. You just need to drill it out a little and then use the tap.
