All, These were found at a Antique Shop, a Barn.. former farm by my Brother. One photo looks like the track is Zed SCALE >Z-SCALE. Tom
The rail color seems to be to silvery. Which has be thinking it dates back to perhaps early 1970's? Is there any brand stamped on the underside? Hopefully a good deal, as sectional track, probably used, does not demand a high dollar amount.
First photo looks like Z Scale track to me also, probably Marklin. It's also at the bottom of the second photo and isn't as big as the rest of the track. Second photo, the turnout (switch) at the top of the photo looks like an early Atlas (late 1960s/early 1970s, agree with you Boxcab) with the manual switch machine torn off. So maybe the rest of it is Atlas as well; could be it's just lit funny and so looks more silvery than usual. Atlas did half-sections of track (and still does) but other manufacturers had it as well.
Have a standing order with Sister and Family Clan. Have them take a small piece of Atlas section track with them when they go out to yard sales. IF IT FITS, BUY IT. Anything that doesn't LOOK RIGHT, have READER DIGEST on box or say HIGH SPEED TRAINS anywhere, CALL ME BEFORE purchasing. You never know what people want to sell at YARD SALES. I've gotten several good items and one new NMRA Member.
