This is on my Ttrak module and based on a PRR standard design, actual bridge is still standing despite the railroad being removed in 1977. (Trunkeyville, PA) This is just basswood painted concrete gray and weathered. Water is Woodland Scenics Deep Pour with 'rushing water' ripples added on the surface. I freelanced this by looking at Google Earth and USGS, completely redid it (including making the stream - deck distance lower, scrapping the original abutments, etc. when I finally got to hike in and look at it. This is really simple-stupid as I never even had to remove the plywood roadbed, the basswood sides are right up against it as a ballasted concrete deck. My big N layout is Arizona and I don't even have so much as a culvert. This is the first time I've done a small water feature like this, the only other ones have been a log pond and the big Allegheny River bridge T-trak module (West Hickory Bridge).
Love small trestles! Used to make small one and two bent trestles when I was bored, never used them though and gave them to people for they're layouts.
Excellent topic choice. Seems like big bridges are frequently built or pictured. As inn real life, the small stuff should be more common on our layouts and modules. Culverts, small trestles, etc. Hope to see a lot of photos!
