Great to see and hear from you. Your new avatar is the greatest. Those eyes are truly bewitching. My wife's eyes are what hooked me 56-1/2 years ago. Take time with your project, we all have plenty of time to wait. It will be superb ! Carl
Home Depot has 2'X4' sheets in different thickness. I'm going down there tomorrow. My sister is here today so, later on, we are going out for lunch.
I got my Masonite. I will be working on that next. But first I wanted to finish the rear roof. .040 plastic sheet then cardboard with sandpaper all glued together and painted flat black. Then some roof details.
I'm working on my base. I have enough Masonite so if I make a mistake I can start over. But I need my music. I just love this !!!
That is beautiful, thank you Candy. Can you give a brief description of the culture and language? It appears medieval, and possibly Germanic.
If this helps, here is translation of YouTube comment, "Watch the new music video from FAUN about their current single "Federkleid" from the upcoming album "Midgard". And further, Midgard is the name for Earth inhabited by and known to humans in early Germanic cosmology, and specifically one of the Nine Worlds in Norse mythology
John, thank you. As I was listening/viewing, an image of the Druid culture came to mind, but I sensed the tongue was not Gaelic. I enjoy when people recreate these ancient cultures, because the scholars/performers have done extensive research in an attempt to be as authentic as possible.
I can understand a bit (a very little bit) of that. Ordering parts for my old Arnold Rapido stuff from Deutschland is bringing back some of my long ago forgotten Deutsch vocabulary. I'll just have to keep ordering more. Doug
Although my normal "orbit" occurs in a cultural wasteland containing Humble Pie, Grand Funk Railroad and other things many people may find toxic, (Hank's "electronic mayhem" descriptive probably fits a lot of it quite well) I have noticed my tastes broadening somewhat of late. I have returned to watch this video several times, finding both the music and the anachronistic aspect of it to be very enjoyable. Nice! I am not, however, able to be of any help with translation.
John, that's what I was thinking only in my case I was going to suggest a 2 step semi circle platform. Dress it up by making out of thin clear styrene or acrylic and put some lights underneath.
