Welcome back everyone. I hope you had a great long weekend and I hope the weather was good for any festivities in your area.

Saturday: I spent a few hours working on paper work for the Galesburg City Job. I specifically worked on the 1977 era switchlist to better reflect an actual work day. As a result, my Butler plant may receive 1, 2 or 3 flat cars or none at all. This was literally done by flipping a coin to see if that spot would receive a car or not. Example: Rowe Manufacturing has a spot for one car. Flip a coin, heads = car, tales = no car. Butler B has a spur that will hold three flat cars. A coin is flipped three times to see how many cars will get spotted that day. When switching, all cars get picked up. I next entered the results on my switchlists and started making a sheet for every day of the week for June, 1977. Only problem is? I need more cars!

Sunday: Was a more relaxed day. I started off by setting out on the Harley for an early morning ride, then went to our local Dunkin for a coffee and donuts for myself and the parents. We packed a picnic lunch and spent the day finding relatives graves, cleaning up head stones and reliving memories of past loved ones. I finished the evening with another ride on the Harley.

Monday: I worked on Jess a little and lowered her top for the fist time this year, the latest I think I have ever lowered it. Of course, more motorcycle riding was in order and we had a nice cook out to end the day. The time left was spent working on the City Job and preparing it for the next move. Yes, the City Job will be moving again soon.

So how about you? How was your weekend? Let us know. We'll resume our normal schedule when we return on Friday the 31st of May. Until then, enjoy the short work week, for those who still punch a time clock, stay safe and as always...

    High Greens!

Hope all had a peaceful long weekend.
Friday, got home early and covered track and wall to put down plaster cloth. Then Saturday finished it off w/ 3 layers, 4 in some places. Sunday it was dry and I put a base coat on it.

While the plaster was drying and also on Monday, I worked on some ground cover at the top of the ridge. This is a dual track siding that will eventually serve a Less-Than-Carload freight facility (Which the C&O used to have in the 50's.) Still quite a bit of scenery to go.

Saturday (As Promised), smoked 4 racks of ribs on the Big Green Egg.

I was able to accomplish a few of the tasks I set out to complete over the weekend... Still a bit more work to do on the ESP32 CS PCB but a new rendering of the PCB is available:

I've also started the process of finding an enclosure for the CS to make mounting it a lot safer/easier. Currently looking at an option like: https://www.aliexpress.com/store/pr...45-56mm-7-9-5-7-2-2inch/505449_593642685.html

Discovered I was missing an important piece to an item acquired via Shapeways. As it was bought a while back, and not opened until now, getting nowhere about a replacement. Am not very happy.

Well, it was a weekend. Didn't get a whole lot of model railroading done.

Saturday: Oil change in my pick up....After wrestling with removing an overtight oil filter -- 2 hours to get the darn thing off. The service tech that installed it must have been a darn gorilla. -- damn!! Set the tone for the day and weekend.
Saturday afternoon: Received a wonderful visit from my Aunt, cousin and 3 of his grand kids -- nice-- helped big time relieving the stress of the morning.

Sunday - and Monday: -- started work on my caboose project. Started by taking some Atlas caboose frames and "stretching" them. To put the trucks farther out from the center on 3 Con-Cor bay window cabooses. -- Thanks, Onizukachan , Mike Madonna and JMaurer1 for the inspiration to get this done. I have the 3 frames done as well as some shell work on 2 of them. The 3rd one had been done for many many years. It will get a new paint job -- to back date her to pre 1955/1956 - when the SP started to paint the ends orange and the large lettering.

Hope Y'all had a great and safe weekend,
    Wolf

Well in spite of the unsettled weather we had, I was able to get most of the things accomplished that I wanted to.

Before it rained I did my quota of yard work for the week and when it did rain I went into the work shop and put together a new set of legs for the small module I am rebuilding. On the holiday Monday the post office dropped off 2 small packages from Japan. These were a few small things I ordered for that module. We got our BBQ on Monday afternoon with no rain, just overcast and cool. Took some time to just run some trains on my home layout. Never got to the travel trailer until this morning. Today looks like it is going to be nice.

Hope everyone enjoyed themselves this past weekend whatever you were doing.

Prepping for a visit Saturday continues. All the paper work is now complete. Photo sheets, write ups, etc...

Sunday I spent the afternnoon installing four azatrax devices. Succeeded in destroying g one IR set. Drilled it out mistakenly. Azatrax is sending me a new one. I am now at the troubleshooting stage to get the devices working right. Sunday night I detailed another structure using chalk and adding a few detail parts.

Monday I actually turned the layout on an ran some trains for the first time in three years. Found that my programming track stopped working. More troubleshooting going on now. Acts as if there isn’t powers getting to the track from the feeders yet the 4PDT switch is wires right and power gets to the other areas (dead track) just fine from the switch.

    Onward ho!

    Kevin,
Any chance we can get a more thorough write up of the Azatrax devices and systems?

So far interesting. I haven’t been able to finish the trouble shooting but I can say they are easy to set up.
