Looks I’m moving out a bit later this afternoon! Will be moving to local rehab facility for a while. Do not know how long. Don’t think anyone knows at this point. Antibiotics have apparently worked well enough, that I can leave the hospital.
If you haven't already done so, talk to your doc about taking Vitamin D supplements . It's an immune booster. I used to have recurring staph infections, and daily D supplements cleared it up going on 3 years without a doctor visit. Used to be every other month for like 4 years!
Back then, I ate healthier food, with less junk in it (Europe doesn't allow most food additives). Unless you're asking Keith!
Doing much better! Foot healing up nicely! Still unable to put weight on it yet. Will know more on foot Tuesday. Will hopefully have fluid in right knee drained, and shot for pain! Will know that on Thursday. This is what I’m missing out on, at home. A couple photos, from Mom, taken yesterday, May 16. Heavy rain and small hail earlier this afternoon. Doesn’t look like this any more!!
Great picture from your mom Keith. Glad to hear you are heading in the right direction with your recovery. Prayers that it is speedy.
Another shot from Mom today! This time, temporarily setting a single DRGW GO30 on the tracK!! Yes, it’s derailed! But, Mom just wanted something on the track! Dad couldn’t tell if it was on the track or not. Rain and hail yesterday afternoon, so flowers to a bit of a beating!
Trying to yet! Still stuck in rehab. Having issues with right knee, that could have been taken care of 2 weeks ago!! Dr did NOT want to provide drainage to knee, if needed, or steroid shot for pain! Maybe Thursday! Photos are from Mom, of what I’m missing out on, at home! Cold and rain now, possible snow tonight! So I’ve heard! Colorado weather. Believe it, when I see it!
Home about a week and a half ago! Was going to put up with it any longer. They decided I should stay another week, after I got shot in knee, for pain and inflammation. Said No Way!! Even my folks were ready to bring me home! Today, after a Dr visit, and 2 different therapy sessions, I was able to get outside for a while! Spent about 2 1/2 hours talking with Mom as she did some yard work. And watched a train run as well! Locomotive and Caboose, but still a train!! Maybe maybe Thursday, if weather cooperates!
Spent about 3 1/2 hours playing outside today! Ran the train show locomotive, the GM Powetrain U25B from Aristo Craft. With matching Caboose. The boxcar is an Aristo Craft Rio Grande Cookie car. Have 2 of these cars, and 2 silver cars, from USAT. Was enjoyable, while it lasted! Photo by Mom, on iPad!
Wow! Great to see you are home again Keith. like your garden railroad. Makes me wish I had a place for one.
Yeah, great and I will be wearing the 4014 pin you gave me a while ago when I go to see the real 4014 in Albert Lea, MN on July 17th! Doug
Railroad is getting pounded! Major thunderstorm passing by right now! Containing up to small marble size hail!! Tree out front, and any uncovered plants took a pounding!! Knocked a few small branches out of tree! What it looked like, through front door!
