Pardon me if this has been discussed. I did a search and didn't see it discussed.

In any event, now that Walthers is trying to find new manufacturers to replace the Shinohara line, what is a good substitute? Especially the turnouts? I have used Walthers curved turnouts and like them quite a bit.

PECO curved turnouts? Any experience? I'm set on my mainline and mainline sidings where I've used #8 curves. I will have need for #7's to 7 1/2's. Radius range from 24"-28" and 28"- 32".

Does anyone else make code 83 curved turnouts?

eBay. Ok doesn't make them but you can find and buy them. Just a few weeks ago I bought couple of #8 Walthers curved turnouts, DCC friendly. Sold my DC versions on HOSwap.

I know of no other substiitutes for the type you are looking for. I do plan on using a few Peco as well.

Central Valley turnout kits are flexible. They are a step above regular trackssince you have to build them, but not as hard as handlaid track. I have never used them, so I can’t say from personal experience, but they seem alright. You would be able to make any radius you need.

Peco are good but the don't have the same radius as the OP was looking for.
