    They were a kit-bash of sorts. I believe I used some Rowa roofs from their lightweight cars that I cut down considerably. I suppose any lightweight roof will work They may have a bit too much curve yet but they are close. The Arnold Old Timer cars are narrower so the curved edges of the roof are cut away along with any attachment tabs underneath. To attach I just used a thin line of tacky glue along the very edges where the roof meets the wall of the car but there are probably better ways for that.

    Has anyone on TB been in touch with Mark Watson? He used to have really great stuff at Shapeways but now I see almost all of it is gone. I was really looking forward to getting a ventilated boxcar.

    He's very active over on TRW. I thnk you will see less and less of his Shapeways items and he's now fully printing from his resin printer and doing it himself for better quality and pricing.

    Update on the blog, including new structures, and some very exciting progress on the DCC front...

    DCC++ and an eBay score

    Normally I hold the spoilers, but I'm just too happy about what I've been able to accomplish with the Gen. Haupt. Check out this super slow speed startup.

    Commented on your blog.

    I have an LED soldered into my prog track bumper as a track indicator with a 1.2k Resistor on one of the legs.
    Then the remaining leg and the resistor are soldered to the track underneath.
    Doesn’t matter which one. Not my most beautiful work from underneath but you can’t see it!
    Glad to take a picture if it would be helpful.

    Put a3mm in the hole in the atlas track bumper. Its an easy way to create a track power indicator.
    Instead of having to go look at the screen in JMRI and the DCC++ LEDs to figure out If programming track is on.

    Nice. I’m in the same boat with my whistle warehouse. Nice bit of updated DCC ready kit now, but no place to actually use it!
