Hi all! I am a born again railway modeler, after a long break that started while I served my country back in the 1970's -1980's. (it wasn't cool to be a soldier and play with trains back then!). Due to ill health I decided on 0 scale as I can see the larger stuff better, and it's easier to put them on the rails! I became involved in 0 scale narrow gauge, 0:16.5 (0n30 to those across the pond from here!). I joined the 7mm NGA, and soon got seduced into other gauges, like 0:9 (0n15) and 0:14. So much for rails i can put my trains onto! After loosing my wife of 33 years I met someone new at a show I was exhibiting at, she was chaperoning her son who was one of the guest operators o the layout we were showing. Long story short, we found that railway modelling was not the only common ground we shared, we all 3, myself the lady and her son, play in Brass bands. Wedding bells followed, and at the reception we were surprised by the model railway club bringing the layout that we first met over! I joined the club that my stepson belongs to, Bognor Regis Model Railway Club where I started to become interested in G scale. I have some Gn15 as well as some 45mm gauge radio controlled stuff. As a retired electronics tech I am very interested in building my own DCC++ set up, and I already use Arduino to power servos for point (turnout or switch) control.
