I have a brand new 2018 US Penny. I will let it go for only $56.32! Why? Because I like fishing for bucks and the number sounded interesting....

    (y) <g> I'd actually like one, but NSE sells them only in packs of two, with one prototypical No. 1776 and one foobie No. 1976. The Seller is offering the prototypical 1776 I want and bids are welcomed. But the asking price is $109.75 and I'd maybe pay $15 + Shipping. Not much point in submitting a bid. :)

I actually was tempted for a moment by the lot of 15 cars, but I have Milwaukee coming out of my ears, already.

Makes sense to buy the pair from NSE and sell the other one for, oh , I dunno, $49.50?

And from the same seller. Something seems amiss here. While it is an SD35 and the railroad is Montana Rail Link. There's just something missing. Like that whole Operation Lifesaver logo and matching unit number that's on the box. In the immortal words of the prophet Meatloaf, "Two outta three ain't bad."

I looked at it and on the bottom, under "frequently bought together" there is these various "lots" of cars for what appears to be a price too good to be true. But then, i f something is too good to be true, usually, it is. Once you actually look at the auction, you find out that this ain't no lot, at all. The seller is dodging and ducking some listing and insertion fees. Each car has an individual price.

Whoa, you're right! Never seen anything like that before, and at $10 to $15 a car w/ Shipping for stuff you'd find at train shows for half that.

I'm sitting on a gold mine. As soon as I finish the stash of model car kits and the last couple of structure kits for the railroad I'm sitting on at the moment. So in 5-10 years(I hope to be finished by then) factoring inflation wonder what all those sprues will be worth.(y)

    Retirement money right there!
Build 2 sheds and lay silver spruces along the walls and call it a limited edition steam power plant. Sell it for $100 on eBay. Then sell the other. Limited edition of 2.

GOODNESS! When I put up cabooses on FeePay, I can not pay people to take them.

Perhaps the parts are sound, but, that paint job is what really kills it. I have managed to buy a number of junquey buildings at shows where someone seriously botched a paint job or was too free with the aeroplane glue (or both) and turned them into something useful or use them for parts. I will not pay more than a dollar apiece for them, perhaps two, on a good day (for the seller and depending on what use I might have for it). You have to sift through a number of them and find a vendor who actually understands what the things are worth (a rarity at half of these shows).

.............ten bananas and seven bucks shipping? .................seems about right for a cheap Bachpersonn diseasel on FeePay. I do wonder from where the "brass" shell came.

I actually have used sprues for piping, roof supports and other such. Of course, I cut, file and sand the dickens out of them so that all of those bumps and boops are gone and the thing is actually round by the time that I am done.

The clear ones I used for headlight lenses. I chuck up a piece in my Dremel tool and cut it down with a blade till I get the diameter I need, polish the end with 0000 steel wool and slice off what I need.
