Has anyone figured out the best way to convert a ScaleTrains N Gunderson covered hooper to MicroTrains couplers? It looks to me as if the MT 1023 coupler may be a little too long in the draft gear to fit. Are there other options that can use the mounting screw provided for the ScaleTrains couplers?

I haven't seen one yet, but I think they made everything to take the innards of our 1015.

I wasn’t very impressed with the 1015 fitment. They stick out as far as the stock ST Coupler and I can see the spring. I think the 1023 worked better, it fits the ST box much better.

The centering pins on the 1025/23 are on the wrong side., Not a good situation.

The spring loads on acceleration of the train instead of deceleration. Unfortunately ST put the post too far toward the end of the car. I did 10 cars with 1015s and 2 with 1023s. In operation sessions I don’t notice a difference. In appearance I do. The 1023 looks better.
