We’re back from another weekend. How did you do? Did you get a lot accomplished?

Due to a serious lack of snow and unusually warm temperatures in New England, my snowmobile trip was canceled. Glad I didn’t invest a lot of money in a new machine! So I started working on the City Job. After a few phone calls with Angela, she was able to find the track I need to repair the one section as well as my track cleaning car. Hopefully she’ll send this out soon so I can finally repair this section of track next Saturday because the rain in the forecast isn’t looking good for snowmobiling. I also received in the mail a new track cleaning experiment. Last fall at a club show, we learned of an electronic cleaner that really cleans the track without a lot of work. The gentleman who told of this said he had found that the cleaner was much better then anything he had used before and found no adverse effects. So Sunday I tried some in a small area, applied with a cotton swab and was amazed at how much better the locomotive ran. I still have more testing to do but so far I’m impressed. So how about you? What did you get done? Let us know. We’ll assemble again on Friday the 15th to start the process all over again. Until then, have a great week, stay safe and as always...

    High Greens!

Snowing. Below zero. Wind chills. It's winter here, as usual. And perfect for being indoors. I have almost completed the underframe detailing of my HOn30 box car project. Slow work, having disabilities, (tremors, not full use of my hands), but nearing ready. Next are the grab irons, stirrups, etc on the car body sides. Then ready to paint!

    Well, finally making progress!

Industrial spurs in the foreground. Not sure what industries yet. The track to the rear will be a hidden staging/interchange track or two.

Short passing siding, which I may change to add an industrial spur.

The awkward far corner where the interchange comes in and the line to the upper level begins its climb.

    Still some work to go...

I used up the last of my material on hand for making trees. Hopefully this will do it because I really don’t need another 24’ roll of furnace filter material. Other than that nothing else done. 9 hour late trains will do that. So now I set aside modeling for the week. It’s tax time. Bleh!!! I hate doing taxes. I would rather be modeling. And to top it all off it’s snowing again. Perfect time to be in the train room too.

I had a very productive weekend. Cleaned a few of my friends locomotives. And, I had to change out one decoder for him.
Then I worked on a couple of troublesome turnouts -- they are troublesome no more. Thank goodness!!

Ran trains and ran trains --- what fun.

Hope Y'all had a great weekend!!

Made good progress on my turnout control panel. Toggle Up/Green for normal route, Toggle Down/Yellow for diverging route. Capacitors will be stationed by the turnouts, all to save space within my compact control panel. Thankfully the block control panel should be a bit easier. Heaven help me, I love this sort of thing. :)

Wow. So neatly done. Or maybe I am too used to seeing the rats nests some folks create.... :)

Now that is a really nice looking panel, and it should be easy to trouble shoot or modify if necessary.

I may try to emulate your work when I get to that stage, if get to that stage..LOL!

    Nicely done!!

    Live long and prosper

    Thanks y'all. :)

I tend to overplan things, so it takes me far longer to complete projects than it should.
