Welcome back everyone. The weekend is upon us once again so it’s time to see what we have on the agenda. Until winter is over, snowmobiling is taking up a large percentage of my time. That said, since I have joined the NMRA, I might go down to southern NH tonight to the local chapters monthly meet. After running my new Athearn B&M GP38-2 Locomotive last week on the club layout, I’m more convinced to build the Free-Mo modules in HO. I love operations and it is just so much easier in HO. I have not abandoned the Galesburg City Job, I’m still going to work on it but it will slowly get phased out. So Sunday, I plan to look for a suitable track plan that will allow me some switching in a 2X8 foot area and still be compatible with Free-Mo. I’m really looking at a Boston and Maine section but will accept Maine Central and Vermont Rail as well. Once snowmobile season ends, I suspect the HO track crew will be busy! So how about you? I've been waiting for some unitrack to come in. What I have so far is impressive in quality. I had to modify my trackplan a little bit but looks like the changes will be pretty minor. If UPS is correct, I should be able to get something done this weekend. At least a point to point with central running loop. Photos promised...
This weekend will be track maintenance time. We ran some trains this past Tuesday and found a couple troublesome turnouts. I will also be cleaning up a few of my friends locomotives. That's about it -- Y'all have a great weekend, Wolf
Since before the Holidays I've been working on several scenery projects on my home layout and on one of my Ntrak modules as part of this years Winter Layout Party in the layout design forum. Lots of progress made but made quite a mess has been made of the train room and work bench. We have a show coming up in two 2 weeks so this weekend I need to get the room and work bench cleaned up. I have not been running on the layout so I need to clean track and start getting the trains that I am going to take ready to run at the show. The module will be going to this show and is already packed to go. Hope you all have a good time whatever you are doing this weekend.
Trees! I need to finish the section of layout I’m working on. I also have several small detail areas that need finishing. I’ve started them now I gotta finish them. I don’t want to start anything new until I get them done. I have a lot I want to start on too. Time to force myself to finish the other spots.
Am finally making some progress assembling the turnout control portion of my control panel and I hope to continue on with it.
