About five years ago I changed my course in modeling and went to freelance. I got rid off all my passenger locos, both diesel and steam and all my full sized passenger trains and the majority of my freight loco again steam and diesel. From a total of about 90 locos I am now down to 28 locos in my freight fleet.
    Not pictured are four Shays.

My passenger service is made up of three units each of these mini RDCs, with the yellow being the passenger and the blue being the mail and express. Each car is powered and there is a cab at each end. There are also two rail buses in the passenger fleet.

I reduced my car inventory from about 900 cars to around 300 cars retaining cars that were 40 foot and old style wood or at least 1950s or before.

I’m afraid to document my roster of locomotives. If the wife saw the list...

    Short Creek and Nopedale:

    Diesels (wartime allocations):

    1 Baldwin VO-1000
    2 EMD NW-2 (Kato)

    Steam:

    2 Ten wheelers
    1 Mogul (B-mann)
    1 Shay (Atlas).

    And

    @ B-mann doodlebugs

The switchers handle the freight; the steam, the passenger

There is other power lettered for SC&N that I can swap in if one fails

Washington, Harrisburg, Annapolis, Dover-Four Capitals Route (WHAD)

Annapolis-Old Line to Baltimore (worked by Western Maryland)

    Freight:

    4 FA-2
    2 RS-2 (Kato)
    1 VO-1000
    2 BL-2 (LL metal frame)
    1 2-8-0

There is also a pair of Pacemaker Green lightning stripe GP-7s and RS-3s that show up as occasional run-throughs on freight trains. Also there is a pair of Kato Mikados lettered for the P&LE (one of these days, I will have to do something about the tenders).

    Passenger:

1 MP Pacific lettered for WM and converted to oil-Can pull the WM portion of the Harrisburg-Annapolis section of a Tri weekly southern extension of the Interstate Express (also can be pulled by one or both Atlas RS-3s lettered Reading as a run-through).

The Pacific can also pull the WM portion of a tri-weekly Annapolis section of a Cleveland-Washington train which also could have one or two P&LE PA s (there are four) or one P&LE passenger GP-7 working with or without a P&E Passenger GP-7. The diesels, of course, would be run-throughs.

    1 B-mann doodlebug rented from Ma&Pa

Washington-New Line to Baltimore (worked by B&O)

    Passenger:

    5 USRA light Pacifics (MP)
    1 Ten wheeler
    1 Eight wheeler
    2 Torpedo boat GP-9s
    2 A-B E-6 combinations
    3 F-3 A-B pairs (Kato)
    5 RDCs (Kato)
    2 Doodlebugs (B-mann)

    Freight

    Through

    2 A-B F-7 pairs (IM)
    4 Shark A-B pairs
    3 FT A-B pairs (MT)
    2 USRA light 2-8-2 (MP)
    1 2-8-0

    Local

    1 SD-7 pair (Atlas/Kato)
1 FM road switcher pair (Atlas)
    1 GP-9 pair (Atlas)
    1 F-7 A-A pair (B-mann)
    1 GP-7 (B-mann)
    1 FM road switcher (B-mann)
    2 VO-1000
    2 SW-9

WM did get rid of its steam about 1954, but one remains to work its part of the WHAD, when necessary, and , one remains to work the passenger trains.
(Once I actually get the two different bodies fused for the hammerheads, the P&LEs and Readings might show up on FeePay. Then, they might not.

B&O got rid of steam East of Cumberland about 1954, but, since it is working the WHAD, it gets to stay. The steam would be confined to trains operating on the WHAD.

P&LE pulled its last steam from service about 1953. I have two H-9s that remain if P&LE can not spare its diesels from Dickerson Run.

Time to pull them out of the boxes, lube the gears, clean the wheel sets and get 'em some run time.

I have all 73 Rio Grande tunnel motors, plus most of their F Unit models and a good smattering of SD and GP units.

I don't have much post 1970's DRGW motive power or rolling stock. Got a lot of the transition era diesels... I should have the majority of their F units... but need to renumber many.

DRGW was my first road name I modeled and I still have about 50 DRGW locomotives...... While I mostly model ATSF, I am thinking of a smaller model layout to get back to DGRW!
