Otherwise known as the LAST weekend of 2018. Where did the time go? I have a long weekend before the holiday but I’ll try to remember to come back on Monday.

I plan to work on the City Job a little bit, mainly clean and repair then hopefully run a few trains. I need to sit down and see what shows are happening in my area for the coming year and contact the show coordinators and see if they would enjoy a slice of 1960’s Illinois industrial switching at their show.

So how about you? What do you have planned for the weekend? Let us know. We’ll all assemble again on Monday the 31st. Until then, have a great weekend, stay safe and as always...

    High Greens!

Finish the ballast on the Plymouth Cordage Co. and start some ground cover. Maybe mock up a building or three to see how they best fit.

Now that my Christmas/winter scene is complete. (Sort of-I plan on extending the winter scene along the unfinished mountain) I don’t have any modeling plans for a bit. However I obtained a new tool cart that I will be placing in my train room. Fits just nicely under the layout. So this weekend I will be cleaning, straightening, condensing, finding all my modeling tools and just a bit of house keeping as I clean up from the last four weeks. I have tools and supplies everywhere. This will help me to find the stuff I misplaced.[IMG]

Saturday: I am going to a friends house to put on a painting clinic.

Sunday: Before and after taking some stuff to our daughters house -- don't know - yet. I may not get anything, model wise, accomplished.

    Y'all have a great weekend,

Headed down to my daughter's in a bit for "Christmas", to spend a couple of days and exchange gifts, etc. Will probably be back Sunday, and then I get to enjoy a couple more days vacation before returning to work.

On a more personal note, my stay at the hospital seems to have been entirely successful. My cardiac issues are much improved and very stable. That was the best Christmas present of all.

Hope to get my "workbench" set back up in it's new home and maybe dig out a project or two that I can prep to get the new year kicked off with. All this of course assumes my wife will give me a few minutes here and there away from everything else going on now that we have the physical move part behind us.

Some weathering projects, perhaps. My brother is visiting from the US, so I will not undertake any biiiig projects while he's here!

Continuation of last weekend's plans (they got delayed slightly)...

Finish laying cork and start the track from the helix to staging:

So far the cork is down and is ready for a light sanding to remove any bumps and a slight difference in height between the sheet cork used in staging.

And then get the rest of the first turn of the helix in place (and confirm clearances!):

It clears but just barely, I am going to adjust it slightly before adding the next turn.

Good choice on the box. Several of my students (screw machine trainees) have bought boxes like that and are very pleased with them. Reasonably priced, too.
