Anyone else disappointed at the lack of undecorated models for the new release of the 100 ton Greenville hopper? I had requested them, want 60 for my layout. No go. 60 is a lot of work to strip and repaint. Argh.
Walthers did an undecorated version with their first run. This is Atlas's first run of the cars, not sure what they'd wait for.
I HATE their NCE decoders. I have one that will program, but can't read-back. Another that is fine. Both have terrible motor control. I generally use Digitrax, or TCS for the high-priced spread. Glad they are moving to ESU, but that's a whole 'nother ball of $$$ tied-up in a Lok-Programmer. I know it's not absolutely needed, but sure looks handy.
Probably several things. What is currently selling and the demand for is, and allotted time in the factory to run a certain number of cars. Plus undecs don't sell in the numbers of cars that are already painted and in road names. See that often with MT stuff. First the painted and lettered cars hit the market followed later by the unpainted cars.
