We’re back from the weekend. How did you do? Gather around the station and grab a cup of coffee and settle in. It’s time to find out what you all got accomplished this past weekend. The only thing model railroad wise I got to do was study up on JMRI, which will be the next step in The Galesburg City Job. I spent a few hours reading and watching some very informative videos on Decoder Pro and Panel Pro. I hope that in a few months, I can invest some time into the program a bit further. Until things here settle down however, most model railroad activities will be on hold. So how about you? What did you get accomplished? Let us know. We’ll assemble again on Friday the 19th to start the process all over again. Until then, have a great week, stay safe and as always... High Greens!
Well I got a bunch of stuff done on the next corner. Here is a before and after pic. A little paint and now I have a visual plan. It is almost ready for ballast. I hope to have that done today with trees being planted. This coming weekend will be big for me. I have vacation days so my weekend will start Thursday. I hope to start installing tortoise switch motors this weekend. Also these things I am looking to do on the city area while I wait for ballast to dry. 1. Add firefighters. I have scene master figures and I can’t figure out how to remove them from the plastic sheet they are glued on. 2. Add some power poles 3. A couple of semi tractors in a spot to make a dealer
Honestly, I am stuck until I can convince the wife that I need to buy stuff... I need about $150 in Tomix tram track and fine track to start on the Laguna Borracho city area, a Woodland Scenics Town and Factory set for both Playa Desnuda and Laguna Borracho, bunch of cars, bunch of people, details, 4 Tomix Chassis and trolley poles.
As hoped, I got my work bench cleared. (Again.) And also got a bunch of favorite magazine article clippings into a dedicated binder. Ready to go next weekend, on starting details for an HOn30 critter shell. I hope....
