I've never heard of or used the stuff. I find that it is "...Kosher certified" interesting! Since it says it has no petroleum distillate, etc., I think it would not cause the plastic gears to crack but only long term exposure can give you an answer. But then again, their statement about long term continual use may affect some natural rubber seems to counter this.
Both 102 and 106 contain Teflon (aka PTFE). I prefer the 102 because it distributes the PTFE smoothly over the gears without leaving a greasy film to collect dirt. I would only use the grease if I had an application where the 102 didn't work.
Well, not so much for me. Unless I have trouble swallowing my bagel some morning, I don't really see much need for a food-safe, Kosher lubricant.
atlas used to sell a gear grease as well. not sure if they still carry that product. i used it on many engines. works perfect.
