I have been keeping an eye out for the MT Hopper Toppers as a spare part.....Anyone have a date or have heard anything on these????
I have not heard anything, official or otherwise. Conrail used similar toppers, so I wonder if that's a possible future release.
I think it is early yet. The subject when it was discussed a short while ago got a positive reaction about making them. So space and time has to be allowed to make another run of just those parts and then get them on the shelves.
My speculation (unofficial as usual) is that MTL packages up whatever loads they don't use on or in freight cars as spare parts. I am not sure that they specifically make more copies of loads just to sell as spares. I would put the hopper topper in that category.
