Sunrise Enterprises was great. Check out Shapeways, https://www.shapeways.com/marketplace/miniatures/trains/ for detail parts and other cool stuff. Fortunately, lots of things that used to be cast white metal is now available via 3D printing, but most of these vendors seem to be internet or EBay based, so probably won’t see in the local hobby shop.
Howler I think that 24 covered wagons in one photo can only mean 1 thing. As the Duke would say. Move them out Pilgrim. Nice shot Wah ha.
I remember as a kid when we’d drive old US90 from Arizona to Texas on vacation seeing long trains being pulled by 8-10 SP hood units, with the occasional hobo riding up top or in an open box car. I thought at the time it took that many locos to move such a train, only to find out they had to start the trip with that many units to make up for the number of locos that would break down or overheat crossing the desert. Train-watching kept many a little kid entertained during those long car trips before the interstates were built. Still keeps some of us big kids entertained.
Your office is out of compliance with ADA... no handrails, no ramp, and I’ll bet the outhouse isn’t... oh wait!
Thank you, No, a dear friend of mine modified the Walthers kit. (It was on his layout - he donated it to me when he switched to On30) Wolf
Outstanding Russ, One question - MT on the front and Accumate on the rear - ? Your work is beyond inspirational!! Wolf
