Nscale station, Nice garbage cans on top of your SP SD9.
SPWolf, Awesome crummies. Is that on oxymoron?
Liked the way you framed the pictures with the great passenger equipment tied down in the background.
    Salute.

Thank you Rick and Tehachapifan. I did those quite a few years ago now and this is what I used. Not sure if these are still available now.

Ok, cool! I was aware of these but always thought they looked rather shallow and sparsely detailed when looking at photos of them sitting in the package. However, they look great mounted and painted on your model!

Wolf: It looks like SP 268 has already been to work. As usually, beautiful!

God I miss Sunrise Ent. Their lights (acutally everything) were great: ashcans, mars, full SP light packages. The BEST!

Yeah, and as I recall when I bought those they were just hanging on the wall in a local hobby shop along with hundreds of other such items from many different manufacturers. I do miss those days.

Same here. It used to be that hobby stores carried all kinds of products and detail parts...ahhh, the good ole days

There was (still is??) a hobby shop in Westminster, CA called Arnie's Trains and they had tons of detail parts. When I would shop there I would look at those and get excited about the times to come when I would detail my fleet. I wish I had loaded my shopping basket with those parts now.

They still do... but, because of what is actually available - not as much as they would like. (I have cleaned them out a time or two over the years).
I live a few miles from the store.

I have too....bought stock that they got from the now defunct Hobby Warehouse that was in Lakewood. It was a mixed feeling, joy for the parts, sorrow of the fact that my childhood hobby shop was closed

Used to live in So Cal. At one time there were some GREAT hobby shops, now closed. Discount Train Warehouse, Hobby Warehouse, Allied, Prestige Hobbies, The Train Stop (San Dimas), can't remember the other store in Brea (downtown) or the one in Ontario. Some happy memories happened in those stores...

One of the most interesting and very well stocked stores was Long's Drug Store in Moreno Valley. I loved going there. I still have some Floquil paints with Long's pricing label on it

    At Discount Trains.
(Gary Coleman worked there for a short time)
The other smaller train store was down the street --I can't recall the name either. A man and wife ran the joint -- good people. Not much N scale. (Did it have the word "caboose" in its name - ?) Racking my brain - and, it's driving me nuts!! LOL.

In Garden Grove was Barry's Trains. He had a ton of N Scale - as that was his scale of choice.
I did custom painting for him and helped him build layouts.

In Tustin was Frank's Hobbies. Not a lot of N scale.

Pre Prestige Hobbies -- The Little Depot. (Where my father purchased my first N gauge train) - Arnold Rapido. (Notice I didn't write N Scale-?)

    (Not closed)
In Costa Mesa is the Train Crossing. The son has migrated more towards Lionel. Can't speak of their current N Scale offerings - I haven't been there in quite a while.

As was stated - Longs was pretty darn cool - made many a trek out there to Moreno Valley.

I left Longs and Barrys out...and I still can't think of the name of the other shop in Brea (Wolf, that's the one I'm thinking of). I just remember when I lived/worked down there I drove (alot) and wherever I went, there was a train store that I could take a break and go in. Never knew what you would find...
