Hi Now I have my own railroad room and I can use 3 "parking modules" and the old Flaggstone West Yard Modules. A 3. module was new, also 2 special curve modules (in this time only tracks and elctric). The layout is 411 x 72 cm (168 x 28). Itrain will be used in the outside round, inside its only manuell. In the 2. floor there will be my 2 switzerland modules Zuzwil, but I need 2 turn modules (will build in these summer). Here are some pics: SD45 brass, with an D&H05 decoder, lights will be next.... Good to see the evolution. It is easy to start with one module and then add new items to the newer modules, rather than rework the orignal. Nicely spaced, easy to handle rolling stock and easier to take photos (f16-f32 for nice Depth of Field). Lots of angle changes.
Hi Dom the MTL Turnouts are working with converted servos with friction clutch (it is an idea from Manfred Jörger). But after 2-3 years of interuption I have now a lot of problems. Most of the turnouts do not work correctly, so I use an small screwdriver to switch. Also some switchblades will cut of from the weels of the locos (short circuit) and some have problems with the power (a lone loco doesn´t run over, only my double tractions with electric connectione between are working). At the 3. module I used also MTL, but here I tuned switches befor build in. the circuit blades where optimized, inside I connected the parts for the polarisation, but the polarisation ist not connected to the drive (here I used bistable relais). And I testet all of my locos, so they work now ok.
