The weekend is calling, can you hear it? Lets answer the call by sitting down and telling each other what we plan to do this coming weekend.

Saturday: If I'm successful today at the hardware store, I should have everything I need to add the DC, 12V bus line to the three GCJ modules. This will allow me to run the switch machines, grade crossing lights and sound generator plus any other lights from a dedicated line. This will leave the DCC bus line a pure DCC only line. During the past week, I have added a bit more static grass and scenery to the first module and plan to do the same with the other two. If I can successfully get the DC bus line up and ready, then the subsequent power for the switch machines should be an easy change. The grade crossing detector may take up most of the time.

Sunday: The first module has been on the work bench getting work done to it because that is easier. Once the DC bus line is installed and I'm happy with the grade crossing, I'll place the module back up on it's legs and connect it to the rest of the layout. I need to get two operating sessions in as a milk run for the upcoming Galesburg show. One is 1967 while the other is 1977, or the first year of Galesburg RR Days. They say a Burlington Zephyr may make an appearance, hmmm. With me leaving for Galesburg in a few days, the stress of the deadline is really being felt in the shop!

So how about you? What do you have planned for the weekend? Let us know. We'll assemble again on Monday the 18th. Until then, have a great weekend, stay safe and as always...

    High Greens!

Saturday: Continue work on my Lark -- I hope. And, I want to work on a couple of sanding towers -- not quite happy with them.

Sunday -- being fathers day. (I have to go somewhere I do not want to go) - So, who the heck knows---

Hope Y'all have a great weekend - and, to all of you Fathers -- HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!!

Trying to be as successful at the hardware store. Nobody has Bestine, which can be delivered to me in any reasonable time. The proposed shipment times offered are so slow for the 21st century, as to be beyond ridiculous!

I'll be in the train room and/or workshop most of tomorrow and some on Sunday. Maybe some scenery, not sure. We'll find out Monday. Have a great weekend all.

I, like my pal Jim, am trying to get "summore" accomplished for Galesburg next weekend. As usual, big dreams. As the old INXS song says, "not enough time..." Trying to get my crossing signals working too. But with an open house in the family tomorrow with a 2 hour drive time... Sunday will be a lot of family get togethers as its father's day and everybody wants to bid my son goodbye before serving in the army. Not much time for toys. But family is more important!
