I was recently able to purchase some Walthers well at a good price. While I like the weight the cars have, a major of them seem to have extra amount of rolling resistance to them. Does anyone have a suggestion or solution to reducing the amount of resistance these well cars create? Would micro trains wheel sets work or should I use Fox Valley wheels (what is the axle length for the Walthers cars)?
HI I have 5 sets I bought 15 years ago and changed all the trucks to micro-trains trucks and they still roll great after many miles on club layout.
