I voted for the North Coast Limited since I don't have a horse in the race

Looks like the NYC folks are going to swamp the rest of us. :(

But the good news is that Kato might be doing the EMD E7 if the 20th Century Limited is indeed the next train.

Looks like I had better get started on my "Lark" (I do have all of the components) -- so, Kato will produce it --- LOL.

I would be happy with any of the listed trains - however.

Well it shows the poll is now closed and unless there was a sudden surge of votes the NYC has it. Wonder what Kato already has that just needs new paint and lettering. And I see that they already have a 4-6-4 mechanism and a new one slated for release in August 2018.

My oops wrong 30 th of the month and I could not get to the poll again. Must have been a lot of activity that slowed the site from opening and I see now that the site shows more than 400 more votes since I was last there. NYC is still in the lead.

    What's an NYC? :D
I voted for the Lark, although I'd settle for a North Coast Limited.

I plan to vote early and often!!! (JK)

I was torn between the Twin Cities Zephyr and the NCL. If an E5B unit were included with the Zephyr, that would make it a bit easier. 1565 votes so far, so it looks like they are getting an enthusiastic response!

I am encouraged by the fact that of the seven choices, four of them are at the top of my wish list:

    NCL
    Twin Cities Zephyr
    Empire Builder
    20th Century Limited

    Great stuff!!

Well if they end up doing a steam version I wonder which it would be.

They had two streamlined versions and full width diaphragms on the cars.

Poll is still open and I voted for the NCL... which is currently a distant 2nd to the NYC 20th Century Ltd. I think what is very unfortunate... the era for the 20th Century Ltd is not for the Dreyfuss Hudson powered version. The choices leans toward a possible E6/E7 motive power announcement at some point.

Based on this poll... it will be difficult for Kato to ignore these numbers.
The current 41% of 3,554 votes response for the NYC 20th Century Ltd is equivalent to almost 1500 potential buyers.
I wonder how many of the persons voting for the 20th Century Ltd are expecting a Dreyfuss Hudson instead of an E6, E7. E8 or PA/PB motive power?

But the poll is totally flawed with it's single east coast train and only being able to vote for one train. I'm a potential buyer for five of the trains listed, none being the 20th Century.

So, you'd rather that there was an equal number of east coast trains and west coast trains for which to vote?

The selection of trains seems to be all spread across the map as far as areas. And the timeline does put the train in the diesel era. When one thinks of the Twentieth Century Limited ones mind sort of auto goes to a picture of Drefus Hudson or a Niagra but they were off the train by 1945-46 from what I have read. However with what they have done with the UP versions they could end up doing a steam version later and they have both a 4-6-4 mechanism and a 4-8-4 mechanism. Also while researching the Limited I came across that the NYC and the Pennsy pooled resources on some car orders which resulted in some of the same cars on the Pennsy, just with a difference in paint job and interior, otherwise the cars were virtually identical. So several years down the line a Pennsy offering could happen.

Actually, I'd just prefer more than one vote. The NLC, 400, EB and TCZ are all a toss up for me.

That depends on where you are looking. The NCL, TCZ and EB all operated on the CB&Q between the Twin Cities and Chicago.

I think folks may be missing the point, the poll is asking what we would like to see as the NEXT release. That doesn’t preclude any of the others coming subsequently.
