I've just recently bought a couple of quad hoppers from a company called Trainworx. These are N scale, 100 ton four bay coal hoppers. I would highly recommend them. According to the website, they are currently available undecorated and in Rio Grande. Trainworx is advertising an upcoming release in GN. Along with these roads, many others (I'm sure) used this car. In my case, I have (a) photo of a still existent MoPac car. The quality of the work is, in my opinion, equal to MT's. I was particularly impressed with the stirrups and the rivet detail. A nice feature is that the center sill is a seperate piece and is predrilled for body mounted couplers, which went on very easily on the one I've completed. If I had to say anything negative, I'd point out that the sill piece had a definate vertical curve in it; this straightened out nicely when the sill was super glued to the body, though. If you decide to body mount couplers, be careful that the brake gear is fully inserted in its slot, else the coupler will hit the reservoir and the sill will not seat properly. Long Live the unit train!
Being a "Grande" nut, I only bought 240. If you are careful, you can bend the center sill straight and use styrene type glue to attatch it to the body. If you want to see more roadnames, e-mail Trainworx with your suggestions(hopes).
