Hey Gang, I'm new to model railroading and looking to get started. I did a search, and it seems this question hasn't been asked since 2009. What is the best layout design software for OS X? By best, I mean: somewhat intuitive, powerful, support/models for popular manufacturers, able to model elevation changes (3D), etc. I've found RailModeller Pro, TRAX, XTrkCAD and Empire Express, but I'm not really experienced enough to know which would be the best avenue to go down. I'd hate to spend a couple hours learning something and then realize a feature I need is missing, so I'm asking for your experiences! Thanks, SG
Also sorry for late reply. If you want 3D and grades you should look at RailModeller. I have both, I've used Empire Express for years and it works well, but lacks 3D. If you know what track you plan on using I can let you know what's available in either software.
