So here I am having a senior moment.

The WoT 50ft PC&F boxcars, I remember seeing the BN/SF and Frisco cars all over the San Joaquin valley back in the late 90's/early 2000's. The SP/GWS/DRGW were common on the Coast as well. Then blip, they disappeared.

In the releases coming, I see some in HPJX and CSX paint. Are these still active on the rails or have we hit the 40 year mark for these cars? The build dates were mid 60's to early 70's. RRPictures shows the HPJX cars running around in 2009 at the latest. I'm interested in a later time frame (mid 2015 to present).

    Any input would be good.

BTW, the BN/SF/SLSF cars were all over Selma (raisin capital of the world). SP/GWS/DRGW were common at the Bud plant in Van Nuys, among others.

I can't answer your specific question. But the thought of such cas by PC&F jolted old and dusty memories. I recall building these, way back in the 1970's. Trying to recall the whole process and right now am failing. I do recall shooting studs (threaded), onto which were mounted wood four by fours. The showers of sparks. The welders knocking away the insulating spacers. Seems to me a batch of these went to the AT&SF.

They did get some. I've seen them and other railroads all over the San Joaquin. Then around 2000+, click, they were gone.
