Which ultrasonic cleaner do you have?

Thinking of getting one to clean airbrushes and Loco's .
Do they clean better? Can you put the whole loco in it and which cleaner put in it is the best?
Thought I ask since I have no clue on ultrasonic cleaner.

got one with a 2.5 litre capacity.....
good enough for HO scale stuff, most steam locos

 

I have one made by Leo. And yes a whole loco could be put in it depending on the size of the bath versus the size of the loco. I use Dawn detergent as my cleaning agent. A trick I learned awhile back is to save a olive jar or similar that will fit inside the bath. A whole loco mechanism, sans the shell, usually will fit in one. Sit the jar with the cleaning solution inside the ultrasonic cleaner with the cleaner bath half full of water. The same procedure with a jar now full of clean water for a rinse. Let dry thoroughly and re-lube. Same works for stripping paint. Keeps the mess in the glass jar and not in the bath. Never run a ultrasonic cleaner without the bath having some liquid in it.
