    Hi all. Having been out of model railroading and Z scale for almost 9 years and now jumping back in to renew myself with this hobby, I am wondering what decoders everyone is using for the AZL ES44AC's and the EMD SD70ACe's? Any guidance here is greatly appreciated.

    Welcome back. The decoders are Digitrax DZ123Z0 and TCS AZL4. These fit most of the 5-digit models from AZL.

    I forgot to mention you'll also want a 12V Controller.

    I use the Powercab for dcc, and mostly NCE decoders.
