Great choice! I have the unlettered version, I love the BLI's operation and sound effects!! I currently pull a set of SP MTL passenger cars.
Just received Kobo BN Bicentennial SD40-2. Can't wait to run it with Kato U-boat !!! Now, if someone would do an SDP40, I could have all 3 BN bicentennials.
"Big" purchase due to weather in usually tropical South Texas. The next stage of my building of Walthers N vintage Dairy Queen involves spray painting, which I can't do properly in my outdoor under-the-carport "spray booth" when temperature is 50 degrees or cooler. I know that's nothing serious compared to what parts of nation with 50 inches of snow face. But it stymies that particular project. So my latest purchase was two $1.99 packages of stripwood sticks at craft store to scratchbuild a concrete frame and brick curtain wall warehouse flat. Something so I can keep working.
Received the new containers today, very nice detail. Jacksonville Terminal Comapny N 402402 Hapag-Lloyd 40' CanvasOpen Top, Rib-style corrugated sides (2-Pack) And, A Sweet MTL Weathered set.
Not that I needed it (do we ever?) but with Atlas running the close out sale on their insiders club, I picked up their IHB coil car. Last layout was IHB, this one more generic, but does have a steel mill and is generally south side of Chicago.
PSX-AR Can't wait to set this Board in place, although the board was much larger than I had anticipated, I think I was expecting a board more along the Frog Juicer size... Thanks for the tip Rick!! Can't wait to remove that old MRC device and stop all of that shorting out.
It's been a long time since I have purchased a kit like this as I have been tending to cobble structures together from all the unused parts I have laying around but today I picked up this Walthers Glacier Gravel kit at my LHS. It was one of those times where the LHS beat ebay and matched Amazon on price. This will likely be heavily kit bashed to fit the location on my layout and represent a Barite crushing and rail car loading facility. And I'm sure when I'm done I will have more materials left over for future projects.
4x8 plywood, and some 1x4's. Got 6, 16"x4' modules made. Next I need to get 2x2's for legs, and some bolts. Don
