1509113644169474291599.jpg This will be a logging layout. Wife won't let me have a layout in the house. Let me know what you think. There are two long tracks in the middle of the layout. A staging yard for logging equipment.

What's the idea behind the twin spur in the middle? It seems that could be a really killer logging camp area.

The layout is a hollow core door, 30x80 inches. Didn't come out right in my post, arduous is whatever works. I plan on using Atlas code 80 flextrack. The two middle tracks are for logging cars storage, flat cars, ore cars, log buggies. I can maybe relocate those. The small size really makes things compresses things.

If you own a house, you can always get a tough shed. AS an N scale layout location you can do a lot in one of those. My back yard shed is 12 x 7 and I have decided to move out there for my future fun-land of toy train heaven.

You seem to have one main line and a lot of track that doesn't seem to go anywhere of have a purpose. The tracks I am speaking about are the two up the middle and the little spur in the bottom right corner near your mountain. As Steamdonkey mentioned, I think that central area could be used for some thing else. Perhaps move the track towar the top or bottom of that area so you have space for scenery?

Atlas offers several N Scale layout designs that were intended for their sectional track. A few of the plans would fit on a hollow core door, just as your's. Maybe you could get some inspiration from them. Here's the link... http://www.atlasrr.com/track-catalog.htm.
