Good morning from sunny and hot Northeast Ohio! I managed to get a couple of cars done this week! Eastern Car Works 2600CF Airslide Covered Hopper Kit, added airlines where needed, new Plano Roofwalk, and substituted A-Line Sill Steps. Painted with Scalecoat II UP Covered Hopper Gray and then lettered with Mark Vaughn Decals. Car was built in 1959 and leased to the NYC, evertually receiving PC numbers and placed in the H40 group with the PRR Airslides. Atlas Post 71 4650CF Covered Hopper Kit, painted with Scalecoat II UP Covered Hopper Gray Paint and lettered with Oddball's Decals. Car built in 1979 and used in grain service in the midwest. Thanks for looking! Rick Jesionowski
Well, I couldn't resist; bought a Big Boy. I was lucky to find a 4014 with Oil tender and no Sound (because I want to put in my own LokSound)!
After all the fun of putting in the scenery leading up to this bridge, I finally got to run a train! Yay! Need to do a little more track cleaning though, our never ending chore.
Looks great! I see what you mean about the height of the signals. To my eye, they look too large, but I know you measured them and they're in scale.
Wow. I remember those coming into stock when I worked at a hobby shop. Never sold a single set! Least popular of the Special Edition sets, were that one, and the Boston and Maine Fs. Sold out on the UP Cabooses, the SP Police Cabooses, etc.
