The last couple of days when I try to access the azlforum.com the only thing that loads is a blank page. I was wondering if anyone else is having problems. Mark
Thanks. Where I'm at currently I have very limited bandwidth and it's not usual to have web sites time out. I just haven't had that problem with the AZL forum before. Mark
No problems, but I'm not going there again after Ron A was playing games with his site and renaming his MSRP to something else. Did not have the courtesy to say "yes" we use MSRP on our site, they just changed it and said nothing. The Internet Wayback machine shows this hipocrisy... I won't go back. Greg
Greg, Hans came back on the MSRP listing on AZL Direct. This should not have been. We used a template where MSRP was the field name. It was never changed to AZL Direct Pricing. This was an oversight on all of our part. We just missed it. When we realized it was listed that way, we asked our web designer to change it. Nothing nefarious, just keeping things straight. AZL does not list MSPR. It is their policy. As their Distributor, I stand by their decision.
They renamed the MSRP because it wasn't what they intended and that came to light as a result of the discussion. It was not to "prove you wrong" or embarrass anyone. Maybe if you would have read the post instead of jumping in and accusing people of being lazy, you would have realized that was the whole point of my post...the disparity between the various AZL sites, some of their dealers, and exactly what constituted MSRP.
I got the point, and agree it was a mess. But, since AZL has had MSRP on their site for a long time, and they ARE the manufacturer then it is what it is. If it was not meant to be MSRP, then it was misleading. But it was definitely Chicken S**t to change the web site, and remove the MSRP with no acknowledgement after I got chewed for pointing out that the MANUFACTURER had prices listed as MSRP on THEIR site. How else would a reasonable person interpret the letters MSRP? They could have apologized, or indicated it was an error or at least say "ah, that's not what we meant and we'll change it"... no they just change it and leave me the bad guy. As a manufacturer, that's not the type of arrogant attitude you should take to customers. So, I won't be a contributor on the forum nor a customer. Greg
I do have to wonder what the discussion of MSRP does to help with my ability to connect to the AZL website? At least for the weekend I'm back to 21st century interest connections.
Good point, although your thread title doesn't specify "connection" issues (which I thought is what your were referring to), just "forum problems", which COULD mean just about anything....and apparently it did... (also) Mark M (but) in Oregon
