Anyone need a BN RSD-15 Body Shell with Alco's open top convertible roof option? Seller says it's brand-new, unused, unopened, undamaged .... http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-Scale-Bur...620311?hash=item283a77c7d7:g:qDsAAOSwTVtZZ~YB
It has been a long, long time since that shell's era. But I still do not recall it being sold "convertible."
Posting this one partly because of the price, but more specifically because the listing actually includes the phrase, "You will not be disappointed!" http://www.ebay.com/itm/LOT-OF-5-TR...626661?hash=item3aee085525:g:IdEAAOSwBg9ZeeWY
Unless I'm just totally wrong, I WOULD be disappointed since it is HO scale (or did Varney make N scale at some time?). Also love the "SANTA FE ENGINE-BLACK ENGINE MADE IN AUSTRIA-A (BROKEN)". Switcher is missing coupler in front, has broken step at back and paint is damaged and scratched.
I suppose Varney might have made a trainset in N scale, I really don't remember. But I very much doubt that anyone made hook-horn couplers in N scale, I am sure I would remember.
Dude, Not only Vintage, but Italian too. http://www.ebay.com/itm/N-Scale-N-G...005816?hash=item1a31675738:g:TJgAAOSw8gVX4bv4 Sad when the prop is worth more than the Item.
I cannot grasp the logic of an eBay Seller like this with hundreds of offerings under $5 plus freight. Considering the time it takes to sell, how can there be any profit? Whether posting junk for cheap or junk for high prices as we often see, these Sellers are an unusual breed that serve mostly to fill search results with trash.
From my perspective, it is some sort of psychological need. Having the listings on that site makes them feel known, noticed, important. Any sales thereafter are a bonus.
"Is there a separate listing for the rail joiners?" He might have a piece of roadbed in his store to go along with it
Most certainly, likely posted by the same Seller with a unit-of-issue of 1 Ea and Buy It Now price of $0.01 with Free Shipping. <g>
