We have a lot of similar colors around here now, where the CPR used to roam, not P&W but Q-G, between AMT commuter trains led by F59PHs and F59PHIs. Back in October of 1982, Canadian Pacific still ruled these tracks in my home town: S4075A_CPR_8780_RS-18_Ste-Therese_OC82 by Mike VE2TRV posted Jun 17, 2017 at 3:39 AM MLW RS-18 8780 idling in the company of a CP speeder in Ste-Therese, QC. In the background, near the parked freight cars, is the old freight house (now there's one to model!). And ya gotta love that old-timey lamp standard standing in the middle!
On 04/02/2017, a Black River & Western passenger train rounds a curve south of Flemington, NJ at Hogtown. SW-1 No. 400 is ex-LV 112, the line is ex-PRR.
Steele, North Dakota. My wife grew up here to about age 5. We passed through today, and I hoped to see any Northern Pacific remnants. The NP era signals still stand. I'm guessing BNSF will be replacing them soon, as they are so old. The time to capture them is now. Insert train here....
It's an old PRR day coach. One end has heavy damage due to a collision and it has no trucks. It has been cannibalized a bit. Not a candidate for restoration.
