The long awaited Atlas 1973 Ford F-100 has finally been officially announced. http://www.atlasrr.com/Cars/n-f-100...ail&utm_term=0_9f9fd5b26c-bf99d7d126-80802957 I hope to be able to see some pre-production samples at the National N Scale Convention later this month. Carter
Wish they where a little cheaper in price. I have a bunch of auto racks that need to be filled for my WP.
Wonder how much of the price is attributable to licensing fees paid to Ford? https://www.forbes.com/sites/dalebu...lt-1-5b-business-licensing-blue-oval-products
These fit perfect in the era I'm modeling. I'll probably get some. I wonder if the 2 pack includes the same color choice for both vehicles? A little pricey though. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
2 packs have both pieces the same color. Discussing this with our retailers and distributors, this is the way they prefer them to be offered.
Wow, that article is five years old! The licensing fee does factor into the cost. At the same time, Ford is quite helpful when we do one of their products. In some cases, they even provide us CAD drawings so we can get the body contours correct. That does not apply to this specific item, as CAD was not around back then.
Examples of the N scale 1973-75 Ford F-100 pickups are in Pittsburgh. We should be able to post photos of them on Friday. Carter
Huh. I know mini-metals has done it that way, not a fan of the approach. I'll still get some though, as every second vehicle in Arizona is a pickup, and other than resin kits with a lot of paintwork, not much out there.
