I am having a heck of time with a new Tomix trak cleaner. it seems the disks don't spin under the weight of the car on the track. It spins if I hold the back wheels off the rails, but not when i set it down. I am using Digitrax DCC Zephyr for power. Any advice? Thanks.
I had the same problem with the Atlas version of the track cleaner. The discs protrude too far down and come in contact with the track. The added friction is too great for the motor to spin the disc. You have to raise the disc up off the track. I only use mine in vacuum mode.
Thanks, that's what I was afraid of, I guess I'll drag the car around with out it spinning. Better than nothing i guess.
