An oldie from the HO files. For a friend's layout, I kit bashed two Atlas Maywood Depots together to make an approximate representation of T&NO depot in Hempstead, Texas as it appeared in late 1940s and early 50s.
Russell, that is a nice looking station, the bay windows give it an impressive styling look! I managed to get a couple of cars done this week! Intermountain 40' PS1 Boxcar with PS Door scavenged from a McKeen kit, added A-line Sill Steps in place of the plastic ones, painted with Scalecoat II Boxcar Red and lettered with Mask Island Decals. Prototype was built in 1960 and used in general service. Atlas 5700 CF Covered Hopper, painted with Scalecoat II Reefer Yellow and lettered with Oddballs Decals. Prototype was built in 1979 and was mostly used in plastic pellet service but some were used in grain service like this car for light weight grains that would cube out in smaller hoppers before they would weigh out. Thanks for looking! Rick Jesionowski
One of my oldies. I made this 4 car set to promote railroad crossing safety. I displayed it on one of my modules when setting up at various shows. Hope you enjoy and always have fun Carl
Here'a an oldy but a moldy from the last Albemarle Division before it was "demolished". I worked on refurbishing this building today for the new layout.
Started planting some tall dead grass in a few spots. Not sure how much I'm going to be able to get done this weekend with the holiday. I need to make about 60 more trees to complete this first module. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I visited an small americaN layout this weekend - americaN = FREMO USA N Playing in 1969 on some 80 meters of modules. Modules from Sweden and mostly Northern Germany. some pics
