I received my copy in the UK yesterday (Monday, March 27). I have been looking at the Z Bend Track article, especially with respect to fitting the curves using Rokuhan track. To join the two straight sections which are 508 mm (20") apart, the suggestion is to use R014 (245 mm) curves with a R30 (25 mm) straight giving a span of 515 mm. I have done a calculation that suggests that mixing R015 (270 mm) curves with R014 pieces can give a better fit. Making the curve using R014, R105, R014, R014, R015, and R014 pieces gives a span of 508.3 mm. I have produced a track diagram using AnyRail. Similarly, mixing R033 and R014 track would produce an inner curve more closely approximating 457.2 mm (9"). I calculate 458.3 mm. I have drawn this using AnyRail. Rob Pearce (aka Viper Bugloss)
