Retry of my initial introduction post as the initial post became messed up. And no way to edit such I asked the powers that be to restart my intro from the beginning. As I already stated I model HO freelance era of 1976-79 was planning on modeling West Virginia, The modeled portion will be placed in the Pacific Northwest in Western Washington, Pacific Division. The power was going to be based off the NW/NS/SOU High Hoods. But will be based off my original intentions of the BN roster as a guide. The high hoods won't work with my bicentennial paint schemes so the high hoods will now become a low hood roster with A.C. units on all 1974 & newer units and retro fitted to older units as they are shopped, and I really want my bicentennial units so another reason to go low hood. Also since i'm going back to low hoods I will add locotrol to the 6800-6899 master & 6900-6999 master sd40-2's 5800-5899 & 5900-5999 master U30C's plus these locotrol masters will work with Rebuilt F3/7B units that have been converted into RCU or Remote Control Units with their power plants, traction motors and any other unnecessary items removed. RCU's will allow the use of any unit as a mid train remote unit these master and RCU's will work more on dedicated trains as in Coal, Grain, and priority drag freights that are long distance with no setouts in route So my roster will be based off of the BN roster with some additions and some deletions With a lot of coal movements, lumber, and grain as primary commodities. Again our merger occurred in 1969 the year after the PC in 1968 and a year earlier than the 1970 BN merger. Hope this makes better sense
Welcome to TrainBoard. Sounds like you have an ambitious operation in mind. We always enjoy seeing photos, if you get time and energy to share.
Yes thanks everyone had a few changes of the last couple of days. Going to be switching to n scale from Ho as i just don't have the room for the Ho anymore.
Well went looking for the N scale stuff I had and it was also taken in the home break in we had back in February. And some very cool model railroad cats that are good friends have given me a bunch of Ho stuff. So as I painted a passenger car today it actually looks pretty good to me. So will have pics up in a few days.
