    Railroad construction workers work on bridge 205.5. The bridge is still in a skeletal stage, its supports still braced.

    I agree, Jim. Those were the days when railroads were a vibrant growth industry.

    Looking west from the Wabash bridge shows a track switch that is newly completed. The construction materials can be seen on the side of the tracks.

    Probably. It looks like the work below and those tracks are pretty recent, however.

    The NYC main is still there and in use to Paris, IL.

    I spoke too soon. The Big Four bridge has been condemed. Paris,IL. is being served from Chrisman,IL. using what's left of the Cairo Div.
