    Wasn't sure where to post the thread so I ended up here.

    Anyhow I was looking at the N scale hoppers by FVM and tried to google to find the era but no such luck even trying a few different search methods.

    Anyone have era handy? curious if fits my new era range.

    Not to hijack the thread, but I saw an empty unit coal train pass through Columbia, SC yesterday and could see two train lines. You can see them to the left, between the couplers. This made me curious. Why two lines? Thank you.

    BTW, the red ends mark the rotary coupler ends. I guess these cars can be bottom dumped or rotary dumped depending on the receiving plant.

    Just a guess on my part but maybe the hopper doors are air actuated?
