I am trying to track down some of the Bachmann Amtrak Acela cars. In particular items 89972 (1st class), 89973 (business), and 89974 (end business). Besides ebay, anyone know where they may be available. Thanks.

There were issues with the Acela to be sure, but it is one of the nicest sets ever in N. Ron Bearden wrote a detailed article about fixing the minor hassles with the set that alows the model to negoshiate tighter curves and improve low speed performance. I think the standard business car was shortted in production, and became even more scarce as people attempted to assemble the entire train which uses several of these cars. It was almost comical for a while as you could purchase the entire set for $160 on eBay but the single business car went for $100.
I don't know about the individual cars but the set is still available at least for awhile at that certain big store west of Baltimore.
I have a double of business car 3528 and would love to trade one of these for a business car with a different road number. So if anyone out there is stuck with multiple business cars of same number and needs to mix it up a bit, I would love to trade.
I was able to get one of these sets at the Cal Expo show and came across this post. I have looked for the info on how to make improvements (I am using 18" Kato curves) and cannot locate anything. I also did not find back issues with the article mentioned. Are there others sources I missed? Thanks.
