This is the only 265H equipped SD90MAC I ever saw.

It's in Lake yard in Portland, that's a former BN SD40-2 porch in front of it. I'm guessing this is 2003, but it could be 2002 or 2004.

Nice 90MAc catch, YoHo. There must be a tonnage spike - the big MACs are usually the first to be sidelined when traffic levels drop.

A couple of weeks ago, I posted a photo of a CN 4-6-4T commuter hauler, built by MLW back in 1914. Just peeking into the photo on the right was an electric of the same vintage. Here she is:

Canadian National 6711 was originally built as Canadian Northern 601 by GE way back in 1914. It was specially ordered to work the electrified Mount Royal tunnel into downtown Montreal - steam was a problem inside the tunnel because of the smoke (the same reason why the St Clair tunnel was electrified). Even diesels were banned after a collision inside the tunnel between a nearly new NW2 and 7750, a boxcab diesel, which resulted in
a rather toasty fire (both were scrapped after some debate considering combining parts from both to rebuild the NW2).

CN 6711 operates from 2400 VDC catenary, and is rated at 1100 HP. She was retired in 1995 after over 80 years of service, at the time being the oldest non-museum, non-preserved locomotives in regular daily service in North America. That engine saw a lot of history.

If you have a Windows PC Toby, [CTRL] [ALT] [PrintScreen] all pressed at the same time will take a digital snapshot of what's on the screen. From there you can paste the capture into any photo editing program or even Microsoft's "Paint' application where it can be saved as a JPG.

That's weird to see a load of what looks like linerboard in that open door GT box. In fact, it's weird to see any boxcars in transit with open doors these days.

Bye bye circus trains. I wonder what will happen to all those cars.
