In June of 2008, the national N Scale Convention was held in Louisville, Kentucky. The NTRAK layout was huge. My Texas Special train took about 3 hours to make it all the way around once. Here it is crossing some cool bridges. IMG_2471.jpg

Gulf & Pacific combine in a mixed train reverse move in compliance with Rule 24 requiring a white light at the end of the train during all reverse moves, on the Johnstown Branch.

Good afternoon from Northeast Ohio, I was late getting these cars done.

Front Range 40' AAR Boxcar kit, with new sill steps from A-Line and Walk-Over Platform from Plano. Painted with Scalecoat II Armour Yellow and Black, Floquil Platinum Mist Paints, then lettered with Herald King Decals. These cars were originally built in the 50's as regular box cars, then were rebuilt in the 60' with insulation and plug doors for Campbell Soup Service. The Star Herald paint scheme was applied to a few cars in 1979.

Athearn PS 5344CF Boxcar Kit, added A-Line Sill steps and completed the brake rigging adding all the required rodding. Plainted with Scalecoat II Armour Yellow and Floquil Platinum Mist Paints. The KCS acquired these cars from the Vermont Railway in the 80's and kept them the same color with green lettering instead of their usually rust brown paint and white lettering.

    Thanks for Looking

Some ready buildt 1:72 planes arrived for christmas.

Seen here circling on a german compass compensating platform - british train and cars (1:76) in the background.
Music by an american band .-) Planes from France, Japan, England, America doesn´t really fit - I know.

Got theses planes via ebay from a czech seller - no time for building myself :-(
So I have to accept some faults with the models.

The first compass swing platform is ready - incl concrete sorrounding - lasercut from 3mm polystyrene.

Bye - merry christmal and a happy new year

    Harald
